The Bad Astronomy NewsletterWhen I started this website, it was small, easy to maintain, and updates to it were pretty obvious. But that was back in 1995! Now this site is a bit bigger, and it can be difficult to know what's new and what's going on. I decided to start writing a newsletter as a way of keeping people up to date on the site, what's going on with astronomy, and anything else that I figure might interest people (including any public talks I'll be giving). For about two years I distributed the newsletter through the Yahoo!Groups website, which was fine. Then Yahoo went insane, and started selling email addresses to spammers, the most vile and low form of life known even to astronomers. When I moved the website in March of 2003 to a new server, I was able to migrate the whole shebang to a personal email list. So now the newsletter is only run through here, the Bad Astronomy site. It's easy and free to join (and it's also easy to unsubscribe, though I have no idea why you'd want to do that). I will add the ability to subscribe very soon. Stay Tuned! When you subscribe, the newsletter will be sent to your email address. I will NOT use your email address for anything else other than to email you this newsletter. I loathe spam, and assure you I will have no part in it. If you don't want to subscribe, hey, that's fine too! All of the past newsletters are archived below, in reverse chronological order, so you just read them here. Up to Issue #36, the last issue to be on Yahoo!Groups, the links to Yahoo were removed, but the text is still there. I made some minor edits to the original newsletters to archive them here, mostly in the form of fixing URLs (putting them inline), spelling errors and the like. No real content was changed.
